They made up for lost time by getting engaged five months later, followed by what appears to have been a very fun "fusion" wedding in Christchurch.
It's a bride's worst nightmare - a wet wedding.
But for one couple, a patch of rain contributed to one of the most memorable moments of the entire day - a last minute photograph capturing the intimate fairytale-like moment for everyone to see.
The couple: Cara, from Blantyre, is a housing assistant with South Lanarkshire Council. Kevin, also from Blantyre, is a sales consultant from Glasgow.
Where they met: The couple met on a night out in Hamilton in 2012.
For better or for worse – worse in my opinion – much of this week’s episode ofLadies of London focused on Annabelle Neilson. Annabelle took to her blog to share her thoughts on the fashion show, the dinner of dismal truths, and everything inbetween.
About the fashion show, Annabelle shared, “Fashion for Relief is not a normal fashion show in the sense that a lot of people walking have never done this before. So it is much more about having a giggle and fun with it and talking to people backstage who might be a bit scared… not at all like a normal show. Everyone has given their time to support this cause and Naomi [Campbell]. It is a great atmosphere.”
Another layer has unfolded for cake artist Jack Phillips. He has asked the Colorado Supreme Court to rule that the government cannot force him to bake a cake in celebration of a same-sex wedding.In August, the Colorado Court of Appeals ruled that Phillips and his bakery, Masterpiece Cakeshop, must bake cakes for same-sex weddings, even though this violates Phillips’ Christian view on marriage.“The freedom to live and work consistently with one’s faith is at the heart of what it means to be an American,” Alliance Defending Freedom senior legal counsel Jeremy Tedesco said in a statement.

Sometime during the early 2000s, big, gold, “door-knocker” hoop earrings started to appeal to me, after I’d admired them on girls at school. It didn’t faze me that most of the girls who wore these earrings at my high school in St. Louis were black, unlike me. And while it certainly may have occurred to me that I—a semi-preppy dresser—couldn’t pull them off, it never occurred to me that Ishouldn’t.
This was before the term “cultural appropriation” jumped from academia into the realm of Internet outrage and oversensitivity. Self-appointed guardians of culture have proclaimed that Miley Cyrus shouldn’t twerk, white girlsshouldn’t wear cornrows, and Selena Gomez should take off that bindi. Personally, I could happily live without ever seeing Cyrus twerk again, but I still find many of these accusations alarming.
You may recognise Angelababy from the odd Dior front row. An actress, singer and model, she is dubbed the Kim Kardashian of China – however, the fact that she can act and sing makes her considerably more talented (sorry Kim).
But where she does mirror Kardashian is her fan following. Though she only has a measly-by-comparison 3.4 million Instagram followers to Kim’s 49 million, as of May 2015 she had 58 million on China’s version of Twitter, Sina Weibo.
Monsters, brace yourselves, for Wednesday night's premiere of American Horror Story: Hotel is nearly upon us. For this audaciously designed anthology series, this is the most visually arresting and twisted one yet - and given the history of American Horror Story, that's both a compliment, and a warning. "It was an incredible party and it was just us, so it was comfortable and we all got to know each other", he said. "She also gushed, "I'm just really happy to be a part of it. I like being a part of someone else's vision - it's really exhilarating".

Okay, so first things first, let me just say this: I’m a huge advocate of doing your own makeup, but if you want to splurge and pay for a professional to come in and do it for you, that’s totally fine. I’m sure they know how to apply it so that you don’t immediately sweat through it way better than I do. However, if you want to do your own makeup, you may find yourself overwhelmed by the number of options you have. Seriously, if you search the term “wedding makeup tutorial” on YouTube, you’re given so many videos that all look so similar, it would take hours to sift through them and find the one that works for you. It’s painfully time-consuming, and as a bride, you probably have a million other things you have to do.
