Johnsie Bauguess and David Strand were married at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Clemmons Moravian Church, Clemmons. The Rev. Q. Ray Burke officiated, and music was by Terry Hicks, organist; Brian Clark, trumpet; Cathy Dudley, viola; and Chuck King, soloist.
The bride is the daughter of Timothy William Bauguess and Melisa Crowder Bauguess of Gibsonville. She is the granddaughter of John and Betty Crowder of Kernersville.
The groom is the son of Gregory Leroy Strand and Bleeker Bahnson Strand of Advance. He is the grandson of Gladys Strand of Advance.
The bride wore an Encore gown featuring a lace illusion sleeveless neckline and a sweetheart-style inner bodice. The dress had a pleated waistband with a bow in the back and an illusion back with a run of buttons.

Matron of honor was Carter Lahey Manning of Raleigh, and maid of honor was Shanley Brooke Church of Wilmington. Bridesmaids were Bahnie Strand Condra of Rogersville, Tenn., Peyton Lee Crowder of Colfax, Megan Grace Fennie of Charlotte and Laura Strand Winters of Advance.
Honorary bridesmaids and program attendants were Riley Ann Norton and Sloan Holly Norton of Elon.
The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Hayden William Bauguess of Raleigh, Troy Barnwell Brooks of Fuquay Varina, Cole David Crowder of Colfax, Joseph Landon Newsom of Advance, and James Read Plott of Mocksville.
Ring bearer was Kevin Winters of Advance, and bible bearer was Dallas Hamilton DesNoyers of Rogersville, both nephews of the groom. Flower girls were Lagan Strand DesNoyers of Rogersville and Caroline Elizabeth Winters of Advance, both nieces of the groom.
The groom’s parents entertained with a rehearsal dinner at The Granary at WinMock Barn, Bermuda Run. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents entertained with a reception at Bermuda Run Country Club.
The bride graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She works with American Premium Beverage, Colfax.
The groom graduated from Montgomery County Community College, Troy. He works with Summit Design and Engineering, Hills- borough.
After a honeymoon in Playa Paraiso, Mexico, the couple will live in Advance.
