PIPPA Middleton has called in lawyers after menus from her star-studded country wedding were put on eBay for £500.

A seller using the name “guarko84na” advertised two tasteful cards – one marked “Pippa Matthews” and one “James Matthews”.

The mouthwatering three course meal included a trout starter, lamb main and cheesecake dessert.

They initially went on sale as royal memorabilia with bids starting at an eye-watering £499.

But they were withdrawn by the seller after threats of legal action from Pippa and James – who are thought to be out in French Polynesia enjoying their honeymoon.

The original eBay advert read: “Original Menus used during the wedding dinner of Pippa & James Mattews hosted in Backlebury May 20th 2017.

“They are printed on thick paper and have a light green line on the edges, the names are handwritten.

“Pippa menu is a bit dirty of food on the left side James one is clean.

“They are genuine and original, actually used for the dinner.

“As you can see in the second picture that I found online they have the same stile of the invitation to the guests.”

Security was extremely tight for the wedding – with ex-SAS soldiers called in to sweep for hidden cameras.

Camouflaged CCTV boxes were installed and various people involved in planning and execution were made to sign non-disclosure agreements.

It will have therefore been upsetting for the happy couple to face such a betrayal and to see their cherished memory reduced to internet tat.

Pippa, 33, got married in a dazzling £40,000 Giles Deacon dress at St Mark's Church, Englefield, in front sister Kate, 35, Prince William, 34, and Prince Harry, 32.

The Duchess of Cambridge was seen giving adorable bridesmaid Princess Charlotte and pageboy Prince George a dressing down after the occasion became too much for them.

Prince Harry's girlfriend Meghan Markle, 35, also made an appearance at the wedding of the year - but only at the party in the Middleton family home in Bucklebury, Berks, to avoid upstaging the bride.
